"If you're looking for a quiet Christmas album for hushed nights by
the tree, pondering the meaning of the season with a glass of wine,
reflecting on the year gone by, this is a classy acoustic holiday
record that weaves the folk voices of dulcimer, guitar, mandolin and
even a touch of Native American flute. Simple and haunting, this
album makes for the perfect background seasonal music for both
individual introspection and relaxation as well as noninvasive,
mellow music for parties and socializing. After you've slowed down
from the rush rush of the mall and the bumper to bumper traffic in
the streets, this is the ideal way to kick off your shoes and
remember the more humble, human side of Christmas."

**There is a story connected to this album that is somewhat Magical for me.
The last song seemed to beg for the line from IT'S A
WONDERFUL LIFE
when daughter Zuzu says to Jimmy Stewart "Daddy,
teacher says every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings" (I'm
a big fan of the director Frank Capra). I tried for months to get
permission from Republic Pictures. They refused to respond. Playing
it safe, I left it off. Then... the night before I was to send the
master tape to LA, I was jarred from my sleep at 3am and a story on
CNN about Republic Pictures accidently allowing the Copyright to
lapse on the movie (I never sleep with the TV on. I ALWAYS read).

I immediately got out of bed and re mastered the last song. I love it
when I feel the hand of something beyond myself at work. paul
