"Adams may well be the most important New Age personality since George Winston."
San Jose,Ca METRO

"Adams is a master of mood and melody whose arrangements vary widely in scope. Thankfully, he avoids the tonal tediousness of many in his sonic school!"
Coral Springs - Parkland Forum

A View From The Plain

Paul Adams

"On the albums I like best I get lost and forget to do my job. I'm in my 10th playing of A VIEW FROM THE PLAIN and resolve to take notes. Adams is not only the composer, arranger, and performer but a guitar builder as well.... folksy big - hearted ambience with many surprises, from full bodied Flamenco, to blues, hymns, and low down funk. I dare say this album will be just as fresh on it's one hundredth listen. A remarkable album!"

Carol Wright NAPRA Trade Review

WOW, I am blown away!! I think A VIEW FROM THE PLAIN is a phenomenal piece of work and I'm putting into heavy rotation right away! I'm not letting this CD out of my sight!

Michael Douglas KKCR Radio Princeville, Hawaii

Lovers of the quiet guitar will certianly appreciate Adams' finesse for variety. There is a smattering of harmonica, guitar, mandolin and fiddle, resulting in pieces that are really ballads without words!!

"A delightful and beautiful album with exquisite guitar work!! Its intensity is awesome!"

HEARTSONG REVIEW Magazine

I really love this review I got for this album from RockStar Magazine in Italy. A few years ago I got a call from a music journalist in Italy about some of my work. In my correspondence to him I mentioned my friend Gary Green living here. Gary was the guitarist for a fancy brainy band from England called GENTLE GIANT. They were excited about this as GG was HUGE in Italy!! They decided to come for a visit and I arranged for them to meet Gary. It was funny to see a car full of young Italians driving in America. NOT known for their sensible driving ability, they missed the turn to my driveway, promptly, screeched to a halt in the middle of a very busy street , jammed to reverse and Varoooooom - over the curb, where here in a jiffy!!

Anyway, sit back and enjoy the review!

"Paul Adams history, it's a surprise: one of lifes able to supply (to more and more dry Hollywood continuity writers) the starting point for an original and solid "script".

As soundtrack obviously, wides extracts by his second beautiful work (We must consider the dominants ideas reboil.) place the multiple instrumentalist farther the age detached aestheticism in which he was confined. Besides, it should be born in mind the complete enjoyment of the best notes image - making passage: "View From The Plain." It's a perfect instrumental commentary by mental or psychic travel, which you would rather have. The immovable width of the United States plains, of interminables corn expanses and without dimensions sky, that intern illinois (Paul Adams land); considerations which are influential the acoustics vein of last CD, as impregnables and light clouds in the clean pond waters."

"Otherwise like a motion picture that perfume by reality on the cinema screen he has led in middle-west American outskirts: true and simple."

They were also kind enough to include a bit of my bio as follows:

"The hypothetical telling beginning from adolescence that he spent constructing guitars and sorts of stringed instruments, still add lustre to his recording studio-house, and pass from hand to hand to very important personages like Daryl Hall. The telling go on through the first CD (receive by new age reviews as the best sectoral personality after George Winstons exploit.), in which he use very well a pair of flash - back based on his accident that cost him two fingers during an instrument construction and on his social activity as insanity men assistants."
